A running app for the bit before the run

Mind Your Run

Running starts in your head. Let’s make getting out of the door feel possible.

A kinder way into running, built around confidence before pace and feelings before figures. Made for people who wonder if they count as a runner yet.

For the days you wonder if you count.
You belong here.

This is for you if...

You’ve ever thought, “Maybe I’m just not a real runner.”

  • You’ve got your trainers on, but the thought of being seen is louder than the urge to go.
  • You finish a run feeling good, then a pace number makes you feel slow.
  • You need to walk or change the plan and wonder if you’ve failed again.
  • Running has to fit around work, family and the rest of your actual life.

How Mind Your Run helps

Start where you are. See what you can do.

Mind Your Run is growing with the people testing it. Here’s how it can help you begin — and what I’m working on next.

01

Your run, your rhythm

Ever felt “behind” a plan for your first 5K? Your running rhythm is fully adjustable. Repeat, pause or change it to fit you; there’s no catching up to do.

02

Company when it counts

Walking is part of your run if that’s what you need. I’m building Kindness with Katie audio pep talks for the moments your mind says “I can’t”.

03

Proof you showed up

Celebrate the good moments, however small. Record how a run felt so you can look back at what running gives you today and notice what changes over time.

More is coming

And this is only the start.

Kindness with Katie is on the way: like a best friend boost in your pocket before, during and after a run. When your brain says “I can’t”, you’ll hear more than a vague “you’ve got this” — practical things from my own running experience that helped make it feel just a little easier.

I’m also developing more grounded reflections to help you answer that inner critic with what you’ve actually done, and find your own reasons to want to keep going.

There’s so much more in development to make running feel more possible, more enjoyable and far more you. Early runners’ feedback is helping shape what comes next.

When my brain said, “You can’t do it,” I found it helped to look at what I’d already done and think, “Actually, the evidence suggests I can.”

A note from Katie

It’s your run.

My dad helped me start running. Over the years it became something that was mine, even when I didn’t feel I fitted in elsewhere. I wrote Just Start: The Beginner Running Pep Talk I Needed for the person I once was. Mind Your Run brings that idea into the moments before, during and after a run.

You don’t need to earn the right to begin.

Good to know

Questions before you begin?

Does signing up start a free trial?

No. This form asks me to email you access to the free testing version. It doesn’t create an app account or start billing.

Do I need to be able to run 5K already?

No. Mind Your Run is being shaped for beginners, especially those who find the mental side of starting difficult.

Where can I use it?

The current testing version is a web app you can open on your phone. An App Store version is planned for later.
